Veteran actor Om Puri has succumbed to a massive heart attack at his residence in Mumbai on Friday morning. He was 66. Om Puri was known for his performances in critically acclaimed films like ‘Ardh Satya’ and ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’. Puri’s career also boasts of international projects like ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ and ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey’. Puri returned last night after shoot to his residence. On Friday morning when his driver rang the doorbell to pick him up, it went unanswered after which he raised an alarm. Om Puri’s recent silver screen appearances include ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ with Salman Khan and ‘Ghayal Returns’ with Sunny Deol.
