Rajkummar Rao started the year on a great note with Vikramaditya Motwane’s Trapped, considered as one of the most critically-acclaimed films released this year.

The versatile actor floored the audience, industry and critics alike with his splendid performance in the survival-drama-thriller.

The talented actor, who is known to take the road less travelled when it comes to his choice of films and roles, surprised the audience and his fans once again by delivering another box office hit, Bareilly Ki Barfi that marked his smooth transition into the out-and-out commercial space. Rajkummar stole the show with his humorous act, as the makers laughed their way to the bank.

From being perceived as an art house actor, Rajkummar broke the notion by consistently delivering one great performance after another.

With his latest release – Newton, being selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars 2018 and going strong at the box office, the talented actor made the country proud and he is touted as major awards contender next year.

The actor is looking forward to an exciting year ahead with a promising line-up of films and characters including Fanney Khan, where he will be seen sharing the screen space with industry stalwarts including Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hansal Mehta’s Omerta which was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, family entertainer Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and ALTBalaji’s web series – Bose that marks his debut on the digital platform.

Rajkummar says, “It’s an exciting phase of my career and I’m grateful to the audience for showering their love and support.”
