Joya, Anchor
A familiar face on CNN, Joya has always been a regular on mainstream television - doing pilots for Discovery Channel, and working with other high profile networks such as Warner Brothers and MTV. For those who only know Joya as the face that kickstarts AVS every week, there are a few surprises in store. Joya is also a writer of financial news, something she has been doing for a long time now. Born and brought up in the US, she believes that her only connection to her roots was AVS; Joya has been a fan of the show even before anchoring it.

Uday, Anchor
"Hello, Uday Benegal here!" For those who know Uday Benegal, he is a star back home in India. A true rock star and the creator of one of IndiaÂ’s first rock bands - Rock Machine and then Indus Creed, there is only one reason why Uday is with AVS - he loves the show and believes in its purpose of keeping the 2nd generation Asian Indians in touch with their roots. Uday brings to AVS that certain chuptah that only a rock star colored with the right amount of spices can bring. Apart from AVS, Uday keeps busy being an editor with the famous New York newspaper, Village Voice, creating jingles and soundtracks, and being part of the group Alms for Shanti, but he always has time for his favorite show - AVS!

Nisha, Anchor
One of the first presenters on AVS, with a life time membership to the fountain of Youth. Who could ever believe that behind that soft face lies a tigress, yearning for adventure? Top of the mountain? On a ferris wheel? The middle of a snow storm? The top of a moving train? And Las Vegas too!! You name the place and Nisha has been there with the AVS camera! WhatÂ’s next Nisha? The Rockies??

Apart from achieving the impossible in terms of being at shoot locales, Nisha is also the softer side of AVS, bringing with her a certain charming elusiveness to the otherwise action-packed, something - happening - every - minute South Asian entertainment show!

Natasha, Anchor
A Dubai-native, also lived in India, Oman, UK, before settling in the United States. With a business degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, she promptly set up her own production company so she could pursue her first love: acting. An acclaimed theatre, film, and televison actress, Natasha's work has been screened at Cannes International Film Festival, Los Angeles Indian Film Festival, Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival of New York, and the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. She is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and conversational Arabic and Spanish. Hosting for AVS has been her dream, joy, and pride!

Jitin, Field Reporter
Jitin Hingorani is our Manhattan-based arts and entertainment reporter and has been part of the AVS team since August 2009. He has primarily covered red carpet events, film festivals, and movie premieres; during his time with AVS he has done one-on-one interviews with some of Hollywood and Bollywood's biggest and brightest stars, including Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, Mira Nair, and Shabana Azmi, just to name a few. Jitin has a passion for reporting and telling people's stories.

Raju Sethi, President & CEO
Creative man extraordinaire and the genius behind the most successful and No. 1 South Asian entertainment television program in North America, Raju is as passionate about the show today as he was 21 years ago. His motivation has always been to produce a show comparable to Hollywood standards. The best part is that Raju has always been able to keep track of the 'forever generation Asian'. Few know that Raju was also the core team to launch TV Asia in the US with Amitabh Bachchan, almost 10 years back! Raju has also understood that the new South Asian generation has little or no time for 24 hour channels. The show caters to both 1st & 2nd generation Asians. So AVS is packed every week, with something happening every second of the show! It's a tough call, ensuring that Raju is at the AVS headquarters all days and most nights, producing the No. 1 South Asian Entertainment television show, week after week.

John, Head - Graphics & Design
John, Raju and AVS share a strange relationship. One that can only be shared by best friends and a team that was core to the creation of this extraordinary show. John brings that elusive word called 'discipline' into creativity. The man behind the amazing, world-class graphics of the AVS show, is also a master at DVD authoring, designing CD ROMs for government agencies, and what have you. If it is technical, John is completely at home with it. John moonlights as a clown to destress.

Jatinder, Marketing Director
He is the man clients cajole to get their advertisement on AVS. A man who can never say no to a client and who goes out of his way to offer the best deal to advertisers, Jatinder is more than the marketing chief of AVS. His pleasure comes from feeding the whole office, including Uday Benegal his famous Chicken biriyani. No one can speak as passionately about food or about the benefits of AVS as Jatinder can.

Jim, Field Director
When Raju cannot go for a shoot, he relaxes and calls Jim. Cameraman extraordinaire, Builder, Painter, Non-linear editor, Set designer - there is not too much that Jim does not do. The guru of technical advice, Jim is one of the gentlest people on earth. Soft spoken & a thorough gentleman, unleash Jim behind a camera to know the real him! Raju still remembers fondly how he had once suggested a fire effect for one of the visuals. Next thing, Jim was creating a 'real' fire in the studio. A true genius, Jim is also a big humanitarian, traveling the world & helping sponsor children for the past 15 years.

Gunjesh, Editor/Cameraman
He's a man of few words but has many talents. Gunjesh is a professional photographer, videographer and editor. Over the years, Gunjesh or Gunjun as many people call him is perhaps the hardest working man in the business. If he didn't have to sleep he wouldn't! Gunjesh puts his heart and soul into everything he does and it shows every week. But Gunjesh's biggest passion is food! Since his wife is such a good cook, everyone at the studio has gained 10 pounds! How can anyone resist Bhabhi's "Dhokla" and "Dal Dhokli"?

Suraj, Mumbai Branch Head
Suraj Rajput is a total 'go getter'. He's always on top of everything in bollywood. His years of experience in the field has made him a familiar face with Bombay's biggest and brightest. Suraj coordinates all AVS activities in India like premieres, one on one interviews, music launches, fashion shows, on the set coverage and press conferences.
