Kunal kapoor is an actor that does few films, but whenever he is seen on screen the character is always memorable. The bollywood heartthrob, who got a lot of critical acclaim for his Malayalam film debut, with the big budget epic ‘Veeram’ is soon going to be honored for his performance in the film. The talented actor, will be receiving the award for the ‘Best Performance of the Year’ for his portrayal of the anti hero, Chandu Chekavar, at the prestigious Asia Vision Awards held in Dubai.
Directed by the national award winning director Jayaraj, Veeram is a trilingual film which has already received acclaim with its Malayalam release. The actor, who in the past, has described the experience as physically and emotionally challenging, had learnt kalaripayuttu and gained around 14 kgs of muscle for the part. According to sources close to the actor, Kunal will be attending the event along with his Veeram team.
Talking about it the actor said, “This is a huge honour. Its a character that has helped me push my boundaries as an actor and i thank Jayaraj sir for entrusting me with such a challenging and complex role”
Kunal is currently shooting for Reema Kagti’s Gold along with Akshay Kumar. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment and is slated to release on 15th August, 2018.
