Carnival Motion Pictures announces two Malayalam movies

On the occasion of Carnival Cinemas’ third anniversary, Carnival Motion Pictures of Shrikant Bhasi promoted Carnival Group in association with Friday Film House, helmed by Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas, officially announced two Malayalam films. The first movie “Adi Kapyare Kootamani”, directed by debutant John Varghese – starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, Mukeshettan and Namitha Pramod, will be released in September in Thiruvananthapuram.

They will simultaneously start another project “Mudhugauv”, introducing superstar Suresh Gopi’s son Gokul, & Arthana Vijayakumar and Vijay Babu in a never seen before avatar. It will be directed by newcomer Vipin Das.

Mr PV Sunil, Director and CEO, Carnival Cinemas (Carnival Films Pvt. Ltd.), said, “We are celebrating 3rd Anniversary of Carnival Cinemas. We opened our first Multiplex at Angamaly, Kerala on August 18, 2012 and now we are present in 90 cities with 348 screens at 123 locations. Carnival is already the largest multiplex in the country in terms of number of locations and cities we operate in.”

He further added, “We are one of the top film exhibitors and have already produced few regional and Bollywood films. As the production and distribution wing of the group Carnival Motion Pictures will also actively participate in content generation as well as distribution. As our first venture, we have tied up with Friday Film House which is a very proficient production house that is churning out quality movies within the set budget and schedule. Through this association Carnival Motion Pictures is planning to release 5-6 Malayalam movies in a year. This is just the beginning. Our journey is far and wide to be market leaders.”
