Eros International films continue their magic run at film awards

Continuing its golden run at the awards season this year, Eros International films won big at the Zee Cine Awards held in Mumbai with 18 awards for its releases including Bajirao Mastani, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Badlapur and Bengali hit, Bela Seshe.

Eros’ epic historical drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Bajirao Mastani won a grand total of 12 awards at the Zee Cine Awards including Best Director (Jury)– Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Best Actor Male (Jury) – Ranveer Singh, Best Film (Jury), Best Actress (Viewers’ Choice) –Deepika Padukone, Best Cinematography—Sudeep Chatterjee, Best Action – Sham Kaushal, Best Sound DesignBest Product DesignBest VFX—Prasad Sutar, Best Background Score—Sanchit Balhara, Best Playback (Female) – Shreya Goshal for Mohe Rang Do Laal and Best Choreography – Ganesh Acharya for ‘Malhari’.

Salman Khan won the Best Actor (Viewers’ Choice) for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the highest grosser of 2015, which scooped Best Film (Viewers’ Choice) along with the award for Best Actor in a Comic role – Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Best Debutant (Female) that went to Harshali Malhotra.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui also took the award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for Badlapur and Bela Seshe won the Best Film under the Bengali film category.
