Kangana Ranaut’s warrior film, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, will miss its scheduled release of April and a fresh date is yet to be announced. However, industry buzz suggests that the makers of the Rani Laxmibai biopic are eyeing to release the patriotic drama on August 15, 2018. Interestingly, another biopic has already booked the Independence Day week! Akshay Kumar’s sports biopic, ‘Gold’, is due to release on the same date. ‘Gold’ is based on India’s historic Olympic hockey win in 1948 and hence the makers feel that August 15 is an apt release date.
