According to an insider, long hours of practicing the game prior to the shoot actually left Nawaz with a severe body-ache. “But pain or no pain Nawaz did not let the shoot suffer even once,” says the source. When contacted, Nawaz admits visiting a physiotherapist post his grueling golfing sessions. “The role was such that it required the perfect body language and exact movements of a professional golfer. We didn’t want to bluff our way through those scenes, hence it was crucial that I practice my movements which I realized later was easier said than done.”
The actor who had a professional golfer help him on the sets too had started his sessions even before the film began. “The swings require a certain posture and rigorous body movements especially at the lower back. I ended up with severe back pain and had to consult a physiotherapist too. Henceforth we made it a point to do some warm up exercise before the shoot to avoid the pain” adds Nawaz.
