Sharman Joshi’s “THE LEAST OF THESE” to release on Feb 1

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the true-life story of Graham Staines’ missionary work for the leper community in India, Dallas-based Skypass Entertainment announces the release of its debut film, THE LEAST OF THESE, on Friday, February 1, 2019, in theaters around the U.S.

Starring Sharman Joshi (3 IDIOTS), Stephen Baldwin (THE USUAL SUSPECTS) and Shari Rigby (OCTOBER BABY), the film revolves around the tragic incident that shocked the world in 1999, when Australian missionary Graham Staines met his unexpected fate while serving the leper population in India.

Shot on location near Hyderabad, India, THE LEAST OF THESE tells this true-life story through the eyes of a fictional, young journalist, Manav Banerjee (Joshi), who moves with his pregnant wife to Orissa in hopes of a better life. When speculation mounts that Staines (Baldwin) is illegally proselytizing leprosy patients, Manav agrees to investigate under cover for the newspaper.

What Manav finds is a series of revelations that are difficult to fathom and even harder to explain, forcing him to make a choice between his own ambition and the truth. In the end, his actions spark a tragic event that is felt around the world. THE LEAST OF THESE is directed by Daniel with a screenplay by Andrew Matthews. Abraham serves as Executive Producer.

The film features an impressive soundtrack with exclusive songs by well-known artists, including Michael W. Smith, Toby Mac and Nicole C. Mullen.
