Two Accounts Threatening Rhea Chakraborty Identified

FIR against two Instagram account holders for allegedly threatening actor Rhea Chakraborty, an official said on Sunday. The location of the two accused is yet to be traced, the official said, adding that the investigation in the case is at primary stage. Now, the actress has registered a complaint at Mumbai’s Santacruz police station against two Instagram account holders for sending her obscene messages and threats.

A police officer informed, “On complaint of Rhea Chakraborty, an offence is registered at Santacruz police station against two Instagram account holders for sending obscene messages and threatening.”

Mumbai Police have filed FIR under Section 507 (Criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC and Section 66 of IT act.

She added, “Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment. I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH (sic).”

The cops have identified the two account holders and will soon take them into custody.
