From Viacom18 Motion Pictures – the studio that gave Indian cinema Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom and Manjhi – The Mountain Man comes a never-seen-before horror film, ‘The House Next Door’ featuring Siddharth, Andrea Jeremiah and Atul Kulkarni.
The trailer of ‘The House Next Door’ which was every bit a glimpse into the spine-chilling horror was launched amidst a packed house by producer Ajit Andhare of Viacom18 Motion Pictures, actors Siddharth, Atul Kulkarni and Andrea Jeremiah and director Milind Rau. Post the trailer launch, the makers also launched the song (to be mentioned) from the movie.
The House Next Door based on real-life incidents belongs to the classic horror genre with a unique story at its core. It deals with possession and suggestive horror, slowly building up making it really scary.
Says producer Ajit Andhare, “Siddharth’s belief in the film was amazing since its narration. Horror is a loyal segment and we wanted to explore the genre. These are the two reasons that led us to present this film.”
Siddharth adds, “The big challenge was to be honest to ourselves. The horror genre has been diluted because filmmakers blend it with sex, comedy or songs. The idea was to keep the film true to its genre.”
Talking about the film says director Milind Rau, “The incidents in this story happened in reality with someone we know. It was so scary that it led us to write the script.”
Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Etaki Entertainment, directed by Milind Rau, The House Next Door stars Siddharth, Andrea Jeremiah and Atul Kulkarni, & releases on the 3rd of November, 2017.
