Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus unveiled its 2015 Christmas Book this week, and one of the 11 fantasy gifts includes a 12-day, five-city luxury excursion through Northwest India priced at $400,000. The 89th edition of this legendary book continues Neiman Marcus’ unmatched tradition of offering its customers a selection of spectacular and unique holiday gifts sure to make even their wildest dreams come true.
“We’re excited to introduce the 2015 collection of fantasy gifts which continue the time-honored tradition of offering our customers the unique and high-quality items they’ve come to know and expect from Neiman Marcus.” said Jim Gold, President & Chief Merchandising Officer of Neiman Marcus. “Each year we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers; hopefully they will agree that this year is no exception.”
Curated by O’Harani Luxe Experiences, a luxury travel concierge company co-founded by New York and Dallas entrepreneurs Jitin Hingorani and Patrick O’Hara, the “Dream Trip to India” covers everything from legendary Delhi and the Taj Mahal to artistic Jaipur, romantic Udaipur and bustling Mumbai. The lucky couple who purchases the trip will travel in private planes and vintage cars to the finest hotels, restaurants and experiences, which include dinners hosted by royalty, a private cricket game at the Cricket Club of India and a Bollywood dance lesson by famed choreographer Ashley Lobo on a movie set in Film City, followed by dinner with a Bollywood movie star. Neiman Marcus will donate $15,000 from the sale of this trip to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, which brings enriching art experiences to youth in communities nationwide.
“We are thrilled to be included in this year’s Neiman Marcus Christmas Book,” said Hingorani. “As someone who moved to the U.S. from India in my youth, it is heart-warming for me to be able to share my country of origin’s culture, hospitality and warmth with Americans on such a massive scale. India is really on everyone’s radar right now, and we want to showcase the decadence and first-class hospitality that this country has to offer.”
“What sets us apart as a travel brand is that we have personally curated and hand-crafted every single detail that is part of the itinerary selected by Neiman Marcus,” said O’Hara. “These are not experiences you can pick up the phone and book with a travel agent. Our experiences are based on leveraging our excellent personal relationships with contacts in the fields of Indian culture, art, fashion, food and luxury.”
Other fantasy gifts in this year’s Christmas Book include: an Arch Motorcycle & Ride Experience with Keanu Reeves, Texas Guitar Trio Gift, Couture Diary, World View Exploration at the Edge of Space, a tour of Italy with Ippolita & Artemest Craftsmen and a Iris Apfel for Bajalia Trunk of personally-curated jewelry and accessories. This year’s featured car is the Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition Mustang Convertible. For more information about each fantasy gift, please visit www.neimanmarcus.com.
First published in 1926 as a 16-page booklet, the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book was initially intended as a Christmas card to the store’s best customers. Building on tradition through the years, the book has maintained its personal touch, while evolving into a legendary source for alluring and mystical gifts. The arrival of the Christmas Book is considered by many to mark the official start of the holiday shopping season.
