While Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan are raking in all the applause for ‘Dear Zindagi’, the makers seem to have landed in a legal soup. Reports suggest that ‘Dear Zindagi’ is heavily copied from comedy-drama TV series ‘Being Erica’, and the makers of this Canadian show have sent a notice of plagiarism to Dharma Productions. Gauri Shinde, who is the writer, director and co-producer for this project, has refuted all rumors. Similarities are being pointed out between Kiara played by Alia Bhatt and Erica of the show, as well as her ‘dimaag ka’ doctor Shah Rukh Khan and Dr Tom from ‘Being Erica’.
