Bollywood fans are eagerly waiting to see their favourite stars on screen, but not many films have been hitting the marquee due to the pandemic. But this drought is finally expected to end. If all goes well, then as many as 10 big films are ready to release this year itself. The list includes Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ and Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Brahmastra’. While some are still in the making, many films are complete and the makers are waiting for the right opportunity to release their projects preferably in theatres. Some producers have been compelled to make deals with OTT platforms. One such film being the Ajay Devgn produced & starrer ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’. ‘83’ starring Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt are other films waiting in the wings for a theatrical release.
