The Punjabi Chamber of Commerce (PCC) organized its Global Gala at Hilton Meadowlands, New Jersey, on October 29, 2022. The Gala was the biggest event of the year. It celebrated the coming together of nearly 500-plus members from across the globe, highlighting the remarkable efforts of business leaders and entrepreneurs in the Punjabi community.

The Gala was beautifully designed in rich warm colors of red and gold by the event curator Jyoti Soni. It started with our members networking at the cocktail hour. The tastiest of food delicacies was on offer by Moghul Caterers. The audience then moved to the Grand Ballroom for the rest of the evening’s program. It began with an opening note by Gurpreet S Pasricha, Founding Trustee of PCC, followed by talks given by eminent speakers.

The list of speakers included Inderpal Bhandari, Global Chief Data Officer at IBM. He gave an interactive talk about data, digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and his experience in leading IBM’s data strategy, making it the number one in AI and hybrid cloud provider.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Savneet Singh, an award-winning software/SaaS CEO with expertise across retail, fintech and payments industries. As the CEO of PAR, Savneet originally began as a non-executive director serving on the audit and compensation committees. Later, he came into the company as CEO to begin the turnaround out of a distressed situation.

Our very inspiring woman speaker for the evening was Joti Balani, Founder and Managing Director of Freshriver.ai, she is a creative technology architect designing and delivering complex enterprise, human and systemic transformations. She gave a compelling talk around AI, Data Science, Engineering and Social Sciences. She leads transformative innovations at Fortune 100 enterprises to create emotional, economic and brand value with her team, who represent the empowered human race in all dimensions.

The last speaker was our youngest, very dynamic personality, Trishneet Arora, Founder & CEO at TAC Security, Forbes 30 Under 30. This young tech wizard is extremely passionate about securing cyberspace and started his entrepreneurial journey in 2013 at the age of 19. From there, under his leadership, TAC Security has been securing the world’s top brands. The Emcee for the event was Shilpy Chawla.

From being motivated by our Punjabi speakers, we also had a great line up on entertainment with Jazzy B, a popular name in the Punjabi music world. He mesmerised the audience with his foot-tapping Punjabi music: Gallan Kardi, Soorma, Patole, and so on. DJ Kucha didn’t give us a dull moment at any time during the show he kept up the celebratory mood with his announcements and the music was on beat.
