Veteran actress Tabassum, known for her roles as Baby Tabassum and also as a talk show host in ‘Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan’ passed away on Friday. She is credited as the host of Indian television’s first talk show. The actress succumbed to cardiac arrest at the age of 78. Her son Hoshang Govil updated that ailing Tabassum was admitted to a hospital for a few days as she had gastro issues and needed a check-up. While being treated at the hospital for the symptoms, she suffered two heart attacks around 8:40 pm on Friday and couldn’t survive the night. A prayer meeting was scheduled for today. Many Bollywood stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Madhur Bhandarkar and Twinkle Khanna paid their tributes to Tabassum ji.
