Pallavi Sharda made her Bollywood debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Besharam’. She is apparently an Australian citizen and has been in India for the past five years. Speaking about the burning issue of ‘intolerance’, Pallavi said, “I think that India is a very pluralistic society. In any democracy, where there are so many religions co-existing, there will always be a communal friction. We have to take everything with a pinch of salt.” The actress added that one should not be subjected to internet jokes, just because they have shared their opinions, “It is a very sensitive issue and a discussion needs to be done without being a subject of trolling on the internet. If an actor cannot have freedom of speech without getting a backlash then that is a very big problem.”
Communal friction will always be there…
