The prestigious National Awards were announced last month with ‘Bajirao Mastani’ bagging several major honors. Ranveer Singh did not receive an award for the Best Actor, which was given to Amitabh Bachchan for ‘Piku’. Not at all disappointed, Ranveer says, “I am really happy with the team. I genuinely believe that filmmaking is a collaborative effort. If I have won an award then it is as good as the team winning an award and vice-versa. I am only too delighted that so many of our technicians, actors won and most of all for Mr. (Sanjay Leela) Bhansali. This film has been his long standing dream and to receive the National Award for Best Director, I am very happy for him.”
