‘I feel the need to leave an archive of films behind’

Karan Johar has managed to pull crowds at the theaters with his entertaining directorial ventures. He is also a playful judge on the small screen. Karan Johar says, “I am a filmmaker and want to remain one. The additional things are hobbies and few are a result of my brand value.” With many things on hand, Karan confesses to having little time for his filmy passion. “My primary passion is to direct films and I want to do only that. I try to make one film a year or at least in a couple of years but gaps have started increasing. I will have to make some adjustments in my schedule so that I can direct movies. I am not getting any younger, but I feel I need to leave an archive of many movies behind,” says Karan Johar.
