Sakshi Malik brought home a Bronze medal while PV Sindhu earned a Silver for the country at the recently concluded Rio Olympics 2016. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is hopeful that India could have performed better if the hardworking athletes would have got the necessary support. She says, “If we help women then our society will get better as they are the foundation of our society. Olympics has been a great example of it. They (athletes) would have done better if they would have received more support.” Sonam Kapoor adds that Indian women are still not considered strong and capable enough and hopes for a change soon.
