Shilpa Shetty’s father, Surendra Shetty passed away yesterday after a cardiac arrest. As a doting daughter, Shilpa was often seen in the company of her father at many events and outings. Reports say that Surendra Shetty suffered a heart attack in his sleep after which he was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in suburban Mumbai for quick medical help. Despite their best efforts, doctors could not save his life. Surendra Shetty is survived by wife Sunanda and daughters Shilpa and Shamita Shetty. The last rites of Shetty will be held today, Wednesday. Many celebs from the Bollywood industry visited the Shetty house to pay their last respects.
