Sanjay Dutt has busied himself in front of the camera but it looks like the past is back to haunt him. The actor walked free from the Yerwada Jail last year in February. Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is now questioning his early release. A former convict, Pradeep Bhalekar, reportedly filed a PIL last year following which the Bombay High Court yesterday granted the Maharashtra government three weeks to file an affidavit justifying Dutt’s early release from jail. Dutt was convicted of possessing illegal arms during the 1993 serial blasts and sentenced to five years of imprisonment. He was released eight months early on the grounds of good behavior.
