Neil Nitin Mukesh’s character bears an uncanny resemblance to late politician Sanjay Gandhi in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Indu Sarkar’. Talk to him about the film and an upbeat Neil says, “This is one of the most challenging roles I have ever essayed and this project has been very close to my heart. I have put in a lot of research into my character which is quite different from my previous roles.” Known for his real life silver screen stories, Bhandarkar’s ‘Indu Sarkar’ will explore the journey of a stammering poetess set against the backdrop of emergency imposed during the Indira Gandhi Government. Kirti Kulhari is playing the titular role.
