Akshay Kumar has joined the team of ‘Gold’ in London and popular TV actress Mouni Roy too is set to face the camera for her big Bollywood debut. Mouni and Akki were snapped on the sets of this period film, donning a retro look. ‘Gold’ is inspired from the celebrated hockey player Balbir Singh, who led the Indian teams to win in three consecutive Olympics – 1948, 1952 and 1956. Directed by Reema Kagti, Akshay will play the lead in this sports based drama, which will bring to the silver screen India’s maiden Gold victory at 1948 London Olympics.
