Varun Dhawan looks convincing as a hotel management student in ‘October’, which released today. The film registered a poor occupancy on its opening day, but the trade reports suggest that the Shoojit Sircar directorial may rake in around Rs 7 crore on its first day. After two ‘masala’ entertainers, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Judwaa 2’, Varun Dhawan’s emotional portrayal in ‘October’ will come as a welcome break. The film is made on a budget of Rs 30-40 crores and released on 1,500 screens. Predictions are that ‘October’ may rake in Rs 25 crore by its opening weekend if there is positive word of mouth.
