Paresh Rawal essays the role of the late Sunil Dutt in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic ‘Sanju’. At the film’s trailer launch, the actor narrated a rather interesting anecdote with the late actor, “Back in 2005, Dutt saab had written me a letter, wishing me for my birthday. In 2017, during the narration of ‘Sanju’ at Rajkumar Hirani’s house, I got a call from Swaroop (Paresh Rawal’s wife Swaroop Sampat) asking me what to do with the letter of Dutt saab which was in the drawer. It is an amazing connection that the letter stayed with me for 12 long years. I think I was destined to play Sunil Dutt.” Sanjay Dutt is played by Ranbir Kapoor and the trailer looks promising. The film releases on June 29.
