Janhvi Kapoor has joined the bandwagon of biopics, having bagged the lead role in a film based on woman warrior Gunjan Saxena. Set against the backdrop of the Kargil war, the film will explore the journey of IAF officer Gunjan Saxena who was assigned duty during the battle and was honoured with the Shaurya Vir award for her courage. The film is yet untitled and the director also is to be announced. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will be backing this project, making it Janhvi’s third association with the company after her debut film ‘Dhadak’ and upcoming multi-starrer ‘Takht’. Big ticket for the actress for sure.
