Ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is reportedly planning to direct a web series for popular OTT giant Netflix. The ‘Omkara’ director is known to adapt from Shakespeare’s novels and for his web show, he has a similar plan in the pipeline. Bhardwaj is supposed to make a show based on Salman Rushdie’s popular book Midnight’s Children. Another filmmaker, Deepa Mehta, has already adapted the book for a film in 2012, but Vishal will add his touch to the project. The filmmaker’s latest directorial, ‘Pataakha’, released last week and recorded poor box office figures with a collection of Rs 2.30 crore in two days.
