Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh-starrer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ has aced the box office game, despite negative reviews. The makers planned to break all records with a bumper opening and that is what they achieved! A festive first day fetched ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ the highest opening for a Hindi film, with Rs 50.75 crore in its coffers. The action entertainer has also broken the record, to emerge as the highest Diwali grosser and the biggest opening day figure for producers Yash Raj Films. ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ boasts of a massive screen count – 5,000 across India (including Tamil and Telugu versions), and the inflated ticket rates have helped the film achieve this historic figure.
