Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s action entertainer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ has spelled heavy losses at the box office. In eight days, the Hindi film managed to pull off Rs 134.95 crore and is expected to close its lifetime business at Rs 150 crore. Industry buzz suggests that the film has highly under performed, resulting in the exhibitors and producers incurring losses. Only the sub-distributors of Yash Raj Films, who distributed the film on a minimum guarantee deal, have reportedly managed to break even. In the past, Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ incurred massive losses at the box office, which the actor compensated to the distributors.
