Vikram Batra biopic was announced almost a year ago with Sidharth Malhotra portraying the lead role of the Indian army officer. However, there was no news of the actor starting the project. Tentatively titled ‘Shershah’, the film will finally go on the floors in April this year, with Sidharth playing the brave military officer on the silver screen. His character in the film will trace the journey of Captain Vikram Batra from his college days to the Kargil war with Pakistan in 1999. The portions of Kargil will be shot in Leh. ‘Shershah’ will be directed by Vishnuvardhan with Karan Johar’s Dharma productions backing the project.
