Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor-starrer comedy ‘Total Dhamaal’ made a smashing opening at the box office with Rs 16.50 crore on its first day. Despite examinations and mediocre reviews, this Indra Kumar directorial managed to increase in numbers over weekend, with Rs 20.40 crore on Saturday and Rs 25.50 crore on Sunday in its coffers. Thanks to this, ‘Total Dhamaal’ stands tall with a total of Rs 62.40 crore in its first weekend. Despite bad reviews from most critics and mainstream media houses, the film received a lot of positive response in metros and multiplexes, adding to this massive total.
