Ranveer Singh’s cop avatar in ‘Simmba’ fetched him huge praise from fans at theaters and when the film aired on the small screen, the film earned over 1 crore impressions. Though ‘Simmba’ bagged the third spot on the TV premieres of 2019, after Ajay Devgn’s ‘Total Dhamaal’ and Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’, interestingly, this cop drama is Ranveer’s first film to get such a good response on TV premiere. His ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’ were massive disappointments on the small screen. Of the two, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ could manage only about 54,76,000 impressions. In the meantime, ‘Total Dhamaal’ is ruling the roost with 2.5 crore impressions in two TV screenings.
