While his fans are gearing up to see their superstar Amitabh Bachchan in the latest season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (‘KBC’), the star himself revealed that his family wasn’t too happy for him to host this TV show. ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 11’ is in its 19th year and Bachchan has hosted 10 seasons so far. But it was “just a coincidence to host the show when the channel came up with this idea” way back in 2000. People from his home were of the opinion that he “should not go there” but since it was something new during that era, Bachchan was excited to try it out. The rest, as they say, is history. ‘KBC’ not only resurrected his dwindling career but also strengthened his monetary condition when Amitabh Bachchan was going through a rough phase in life.
