Amitabh Bachchan has been unanimously voted to be awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year. Considered to be a top honour in the film industry, Big B is being awarded for his contribution to cinema. As it was revealed, the stalwart actor was immediately showered with congratulatory messages on social media as Bollywood lauded his long-term involvement in the entertainment world. On hearing the news, his son Abhishek Bachchan Tweeted, “I am overjoyed and so, so proud.” Four decades in the industry and senior Bachchan still continues to entertain with applause-worthy performances like ‘Pink’ and ‘Badla’. Coming up next, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in the thriller ‘Chehre’ and will share the frame with Ayushmann in ‘Gulabo Sitabo’.
