Neena Gupta has quit the Akshay Kumar starrer and Rohit Shetty-directed ‘Sooryavanshi’. Ironically, the actress had to exit the film after shooting for a few days. ‘Sooryavanshi’ is the fourth in the series of Rohit Shetty’s cop films, first three being ‘Singham’, ‘Singham Returns’ and ‘Simmba’. The director / producer felt that Neena’s character wasn’t making any impact, neither was her absence being experienced in the film and hence the two parted ways on a good note. She was to play Akshay Kumar’s mother in the action flick. ‘Sooryavanshi’ is slated to release in the first half of 2020.
