Bollywood seems to be divided over the protests in India happening against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR). All have become an issue for the government of the day and Bollywood celebrities are under immense pressure to speak about the same. Minister Piyush Goyal acted as a messenger and had a closed door meeting with Ritesh Sidhwani, Anu Malik, Kailash Kher, Kunal Kohli, Bhushan Kumar and Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi. Those who remained absent despite the invite were Karan Johar, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kabir Khan, Farhan and Javed Akhtar and Dia Mirza. This has got people thinking that celebrities who generally speak in one voice are divided on this issue.
