‘Malang’ is a romantic action film starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor among others. It is directed by Mohit Suri of ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Ek Villain’ fame. Aditya is well known for his romantic roles, so when Mohit went to him with the script, his vision was clear. “Mohit said he didn’t want us to repeat ourselves, he wanted to explore a new energy. I have grown up watching action films. I’ve watched Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan’s full filmography! But this is something that I have never done before even though I have been waiting for the chance,” said Adi at the trailer launch. The actor further adds that Mohit was confident he would be able to do it, “It was only Mohit who could have the faith in me to pull it off.” And that’s how ‘Malang’ took shape.
