Saif Ali Khan found himself mired with controversy on Monday. In an earlier interview to a film critic post the success of ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, the actor said, “I don’t think this is history. I know what the history was,” referring to his film. “I don’t think there was a concept of India till the British gave it one,” he further added continuing the interview. As soon as the small clip was out, it was widely circulated across different platforms. People trolled the star on social media asking him to apologise and re-read history. Some even argued the timing of such a statement since the film is released and minting at the box office. Saif plays Udaybhan Singh Rathore in ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’.
