English actor Dev Patel, who set the screen on fire with ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and several other films that followed is in Mumbai scouting for locations. Dev is ready to roll as debutant director with ‘Monkey Man’. The film is said to be a revenge thriller, set in current India. The story talks about a kid coming out of prison only to see the world become greedy, fully commercialised and without moral values. Patel will research more for the film, which he has co-written, and recce in and around the town for suitable locations. Meetings with a few Indian producers for future collaborations are also lined up for the actor-director. Patel’s Mumbai trip will last for 10 days before he jets off to Hollywood.
