Here’s one more biopic taking shape in the form of Indian hockey legend Dhyan Chand, who captained various teams in the British Raj. The film in question was long in the making by many filmmakers, but none took off. Ronnie Screwvala has now taken the project in his own hands as producer and has roped in director Abhishek Chaubey to write and helm the biopic. Since the makers would need many actors to form a hockey team, the casting will take time and can push to the second half of this year. Three time Olympic gold medallist Dhyan Chand’s biopic is expected to go on the floors only in 2021.
