Shahid Kapoor moved on to doing the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film ‘Jersey’ after ‘Kabir Singh’. Even though the latter made a lot of money, ‘Kabir Singh’ was later criticized for glorifying violence towards women by some. The latest news suggests that Shahid will do a patriotic film under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner. The yet untitled film is going at the pre-production stage and is expected to pair Alia Bhatt opposite Shahid. The trio of Shahid, Alia and Karan have already worked together in ‘Shaandaar’ back in 2015. The new film could hit the floors in second half of the year as both actors need to wrap up current projects and prepare for this project which will feature a debutant director.
