Anil Kapoor and Sridevi’s blockbuster 1987 release ‘Mr India’ is still remembered as one of the most favourite films of the couple. For long time there were talks of a sequel to the cult classic. Ali Abbas Zafar, who last called the shots for Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’, is helming this venture which will be a trilogy featuring the unforgettable Mr India. The filmmaker announced, “It is a huge responsibility to carry forward an iconic character loved by everyone.” Recent buzz suggests that Ranveer Singh has been approached to play the lead in this series, however Ali added, “Currently, we are working on the script. No actor has been locked till now.”
