‘Love Aaj Kal’ didn’t open to great reviews from most critics and the film couldn’t manage the opening weekend collections everyone was hoping for at the box office either. The Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan-starrer opened just short of Rs 12.50 crore and went on to collect Rs 28.51 crore by the end of the opening weekend. Monday saw a huge drop in the box office as it managed a bring in meagre Rs 2.75 crore at the ticket windows. The four day collection for the film now stands at Rs 31.26 crore, which is considerably less taking into account the film’s publicity and promotions. The average weekend occupancy at the national multiplexes remained at about 27 percent for the film.
