Varun Dhawan hit headlines last week when it was announced that his film with director Shashank Khaitan – ‘Mr Lele’ – was shelved. Rumours were rife that the actor did not have dates to spare. However, it has now been revealed that the actor is planning to collaborate with Anurag Singh, who had earlier called the shots for Akshay Kumar’s historic drama ‘Kesari’. Varun and Anurag’s collaboration will reportedly be based on a real life story set in the 1980s. The film is said to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. In the meantime, Varun has high hopes for the ‘Coolie No 1’ remake co-starring Sara Ali Khan, which is directed by daddy dearest David Dhawan. Varun is looking for commercial success with this comedy entertainer after the not so encouraging response to Street Dancer 3D.
