When a few Bollywood celebrities are donating to the Prime Minister’s fund set up for the relief of those affected with and by Covid-19, Rohit Shetty has stood up for another set of people. The daily wage workers from the industry are equally affected by the lockdown in the country. This moved the filmmaker to donate Rs 51 lakh to help offset their living expenses. The donation will go to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) which consists of junior artistes, stunt artistes, lightmen and spot boys among others who are on daily wages. The body will make sure that these people’s kitchens run during tough times by buying groceries and other essential items. Rohit is yet to comment.
