Irrfan Khan, who did films like ‘Maqbool’ and ‘Angrezi Medium’, breathed his last this morning. He was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. The actor was 53 and suffered developed a colon infection a few days back because of which, he had to be admitted to the ICU. Irrfan was buried at the Versova burial ground in the suburbs in the presence of his family, close relatives and a select few friends. “I trust I have surrendered,” Irrfan had said in 2018 after getting detected with life-threatening neuroendocrine tumour. The actor returned to films after his treatment in London, ‘Angrezi Medium’ being his first and last film after his comeback. Irrfan leaves behind his wife Sutapa Sikdar and two kids.
