Amitabh Bachchan shared a few lesser-seen pictures on his 47th wedding anniversary to Jaya Bachchan. The superstar cherished the memories on most of his social media handles on June 3rd. Talking about the same, Mr. Bachchan said, “47 years… today… June 3, 1973! We had decided that if ‘Zanjeer’ succeeded, we, with few friends, would go to London, first time, to celebrate.” But it wasn’t without his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s permission. Throwing light on what transpired back then, Big B said, “Father asked, ‘Whom are you going with?’ When I told him who, he said, ‘You will marry her then go, else you don’t go.” As a subservient son, “I obeyed!” Amitabh Bachchan married Jaya Bhaduri in a very hush-hush ceremony where only a few close friends and family were invited.
