Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty is under the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) scanner for drug procurement. The actress was sent to judicial custody on the agency’s recommendation after her arrest on September 9th. The special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court today extended her custody till October 6th. The hearing took place with a videoconferencing link as courts are only partially working due to the pandemic. Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has applied for her bail repeatedly since she and her brother Showik were arrested, but the honourable court has not granted any relief to them. The have once again applied for bail in the Bombay High Court as per reports and the hearing will take place on September 23rd.
