Is Sonu Sood on the path of Akshay Kumar? Akki is known to bombard theaters with back-to-back patriotic films and this time around it is Sonu Sood. During the farmers’ protest, which is only growing louder in India, Sonu will feature in a film titled ‘Kisaan’ which means a farmer in English. In a surprise move, Amitabh Bachchan announced the film with, “All good wishes to film ‘Kisaan’, directed by E Niwas and acted by Sonu Sood,” tagging the actor. Sonu replied with a, “Thank you so much, sir,” to this Tweet. While ‘Kisaan’ is produced by Raaj Shaandilyaa. No brownie points here to guess that the announcement of the film coincides with the farmers’ agitation and how Sonu had become the hero of the underprivileged during lockdown.
